Musicians Don’t Need TikTokers To Make Their Songs Trend”- Okese1 On Asantewaa’s Comment

Ghanaian musician, Afrane Frank, popularly known as Okese1 has reacted to the controversial comment passed by the beautiful Ghanaian TikToker, Asantewaa about the impact of the influencers on the platform in the music industry.

It would be recalled that Asantewaa during an interview on the United Showbiz segment aired on UTV stated that musicians cannot thrive with their songs on social media without the intervention of TikTokers.

She averred that irrespective of how a musician has mastered his craft, he will still find himself wanting when he does not contact TikTokers for promotion or include them in their promotional plans since TikTok has become a promotional instrument.

This sparked a lot of reactions on social media with many lambasting Asantewaa for making such a boastful statement. However, a few threw their weights behind her, claiming that her assertions were accurate and their impact need not be underestimated.

In reaction, Okese1 said that Asantewaa’s comments are untrue given the fact that musicians can still have their songs promoted and make waves without the help of TikTokers.

Personally, Okese1 stated that he recently joined the platform but he was advised by his crew members to exit the platform because TikTok is meant for kids and he happens to be a big boy.
