More Details On The 5-Year-Old Boy Who Was Killed For Rituals At Obuasi
A 21-year-old guys identified as Emmanuel Adjei popularly known as Kwame has been arrested for allegedly murdering 5 year old boy for rituals.
The sad incident happened on Thursday, April 29, 2021 around 11:30 a.m., at Boatey a suburb of Obuasi in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to the report, the child was taking his bathing in the morning, while his mother left to buy porridge from the roadside, as at the time she returned, the boy was nowhere to be found. A search was conducted but to no avail, quickly the matter was reported to the police while announcement carried at the various information centers to help find the boy.
Kwame, who lives with the victim’s mother was also missing, the family decided to break his door, sadly the little boy was found in the suspect bedroom, lying lifeless under his bed, while foaming at the mouth.
After he ran to a nearby community to take cover in SDA mission house, where he told the head pastor to protect him for his life is at stake for killing an innocent little boy. The pastor assured to let him escape at night by locking him up in a room immediately turns around, call the police while he hands him over to them.
According to the Obuasi Divisional Crime Officer, Superintendent Emmanuel Isaka the suspects revealed to police after his arrest that, an unknown forces entered into him to have strangled the boy to death, hence kept the body under his bed to have retrieved the body at night and dispose it.
The suspects according to the residents is jobless and what he is best at is drinking and smoking marijuana in the area.
