Chairman Wontumi, real name Bernard Antwi Bosiako the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party has made claims of being the first person to introduce noodles to Ghanaians back in the days.
In an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, Chairman Wontumi revealed that the language on the noodle pack happened to be written in Korean, hence the Standard Board held the product for some time but when the products were finally released, they were expired.
He revealed that he used to supply quite a number of shops and supermarkets with his noodles until the business finally collapsed.
Chairman Wontumi also narrated that he sought assistance from one of his customers who was an Indian to employ him as a security guard but his friendship with the Indian was destroyed because the Indian claimed that he wouldn’t want to be friends with any of his employees.
However, during his time as a security guard, he already had three mansions in Kumasi built for him by his father who was a King in one of the communities in the Ashanti Region. He also said that he managed to establish his own security company while he was still working as a security guard.
