Modern Day Colonization: Chinese man crowned as Chief at Kwahu Abetifi in Ghana

A Chinese man called SUN QIANG has been enstooled as a chief at Kwahu Abetifi — a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana and it’s getting many people talking.

Sun Qiang by virtue of his enstoolment has been given the Ghanaian name, Barima Kofi Ayeboafo. He was given the title “Nk)s) Hene” which translates to mean development chief.

Development King or Chief is an honorific title, which is received by a person who deserves it and the person is expected to bring development to the area where he/she was crowned.

The enstoolment ceremony took place yesterday, 5th September 2020.

A grand durbar was organized at the Kwawu -Abetify Palace to commemorate this special day.

Photos sighted on social media shows how Sun Qiang was carried on the neck of some young men and paraded in the town as part of the enstoolment rites.
