Do you remember Twitter banned US ex president Donald Trump’s Twitter account after a twit of his got his supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021?
The world’s richest man has a different view about the whole situation, saying that, if a twit has the potential of causing any harm, the particular twit must be taken off or deleted, instead of banning the individual’s account.
At at event hosted by Financial Times, Elon Musk said, “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake. It alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”
According to Musk, he thinks the ban was wrong and he announced that if his purchase of twitter goes as planned, he will restore Trump back on Twitter even though Trump says he’s no more interested in joining the social media platform anymore.
“Was a morally bad decision, to be clear, and f*olish in the extreme.”, Elon Musk added.
