Ballon d’Or will not be awarded in 2020 because of Corona Virus.
The Ballon d’Or which seeks to award the best players around the world will not be awarded this year because of “lack of sufficient fair conditions” created by the Corona Virus.
This is the first time the award show is not coming on since it inception in 1956 by France Magazine.
Lionel Messi and Rapinoe of USA are the last male and female to win the award in the male and female categories respectively.
Messi has won it a record sixth time after winning it in 2019.
